With the Quick Replies[1] feature you can choose from a selection of Halloween-themed automatic responses that can answer the door for you. So whether you are home or away when a trick or treater drops by, you’ll be able to answer the door with a suitably startling message.

To set up Quick Replies, you’ll need to open the Ring app and then follow these steps:
- Tap the three lines in the top left of your dashboard
- Tap Devices
- Select your Ring Video Doorbell
- Tap the Smart Responses tile
- Toggle Quick Replies on
- Tap Enable Feature when it appears on the next screen
- Tap Quick Reply Message
- Choose your favourite Halloween-Themed Quick Reply Message
- Tap Save to finish.
It’s as simple as that! Now, whenever a visitor presses your Ring Video Doorbell, they will be greeted by your chosen mischievous message that is sure to add to some extra eerie atmosphere this Halloween.
Terrifying tones
Bring the Halloween fun inside your home with a chilling Chime tone. From creaking doors to cackling witches, there are plenty of scary sounds to select from. Here are some examples:

Available on your Ring Chime or Chime Pro, these seasonal tones are easy to activate in the Ring app. Navigate to the Devices section, just like you did for Quick Replies, and select your Chime or Chime Pro. Tap Audio Settings and then tap Chime Tones. You can then scroll through a selection of tones to find your favourite Halloween sound. Once you have chosen your terrifying tone, just tap Save Changes and you’re done! Now your whole household can get into the Halloween spirit.
Why not take the fearful fun to the next level with Alexa’s Halloween Routine? Set it up by saying “Alexa, enable Halloween Routine”. Once the routine is enabled, you can say “Alexa, start Halloween” to launch the routine which will play the sound of a creaking door opening, a game of trick or treat, a Halloween rap and more. If you have smart lights connected to Alexa they will start flashing too.
