What is the difference between Indoor Cam and Stick Up Cam?
The main difference between Indoor Cam and Stick Up Cam are their placement options and how they receive power.
Indoor Cam is an indoor-only camera that plugs into standard European power sockets for non-stop power.
Stick Up Cam is a versatile camera that goes anywhere, inside or out. It’s weather-resistant and comes in four different power options: Battery, Plug-in, Solar and Power over Ethernet.
What privacy features are included with Indoor Cam?
Indoor Cam lets you disable motion recording and audio right from the app. Plus, you can also use the app to disable the motion sensors, so you don’t get notifications while you walk around your home. You can also create motion schedules to automatically turn on detection when you leave the home, and turn it off when you return.
Does Indoor Cam save my videos and photos so I can view them later?
If you have a subscription to Ring Protect, videos captured by your Indoor Cam will be saved to your Ring account for up to 180 days (default storage set to 30 days), so you can review them at any time. You can also download your videos to save them for longer than 180 days. Photos captured will be saved to your Ring account for up to 7 days.
Every Indoor Cam comes with a free 30-day trial of Ring Protect Basic. (Note: If you have a Protect Plus subscription for the location where you’re installing your new Indoor Cam, it will automatically be covered by your subscription.) Ring Protect is a comprehensive service that activates video recording and photo capture, saving and sharing for your Indoor Cam, plus a few extra perks. There are two tiers of Ring Protect: Basic and Plus.
Ring Protect Basic activates video recording and photo capture and sharing for individual Ring Doorbells and Cameras. It saves all your videos to your Ring account for an option of up to 180 days and photos for up to 7 days, so you can review what you missed and share what’s important. Ring Protect Basic subscriptions start at only 3.99 € a month and only covers one device.
Ring Protect Plus adds even more to your home security. It includes video recording, photo capture, and sharing for unlimited Ring Doorbells and Cameras at your home. You’ll also get extended warranties for every eligible device for as long as your Protect Plus plan is in place, as well as a 10% discount on select products at Ring.com. Ring Protect Plus subscriptions start at only 10.00 € a month per home.

Do I need Ring Protect to use Indoor Cam?
No. You can still use Indoor Cam to watch over your home from anywhere, even without a subscription to Ring Protect. Without Ring Protect, you’ll still receive real-time notifications when motion is detected, and you can answer the notification to see, hear and speak to people on camera in real time from your mobile device.

Can I mount Indoor Cam upside-down on a ceiling or eave?
Yes. Just be sure to enable the “Rotate Video” feature in the app while setting up your Indoor Cam to align your camera to the upside-down position.
Free trial is not applicable for locations with an existing Ring Protect Plus subscription.
